Trying the Keto Diet?!

Soooo the Keto diet....

I've literally never done a diet before because homegirl loves food, especially the unhealthy kind. During the week I eat pretty clean with the occasional candy or queso cravings that come along throughout the week. There are those days however where I straight up eat whole carbs for every meal. I'm talking salt bagel with butter for breakfast, Qdoba for lunch, and pasta for dinner......probably with a nice glass of wine at night. I also hate working out so you can see where my healthy lifestyle is kind of in a standstill.

My boyfriend and I are going on a cruise in November so I would really like to be feeling and looking good by then. I've seen some Youtubers do similar diets to the keto such as Alex Garza and Mallory Ervin. I feel like they both were successful at it and lost so much weight after they had babies!

I honestly feel like it's not going to be that hard especially since I don't go out to eat that much. I crave mostly salty food so being able to eat butter and salt is going to be awesome for me lmao. I'm not officially starting the diet until next week but I ate pretty much all Keto today so I thought I would share with you guys what I ate!

Breakfast:

3 egg omelette with cheddar cheese and pico on top with coffee. I still loaded it with cheese and the pico added the perfect amount of tang. I ate at around 8:30am and it filled me up until around 1:00pm.

Lunch:

I went to the salad bar at Fresh Thyme and got a salad with spinach and kale. I added grape tomatoes, mushrooms, chickpeas, olives, and sesame sticks. I topped it with this asiago peppercorn dressing and it was sooooooo good and filling. It took me hours to eat because I was so busy at work so it kept me full throughout the afternoon.

Snack:

I snagged a mozzarella stick wrapped in spicy salami from the grocery store while I got my lunch and it was so satisfying and craved my salt craving.

Dinner:

I made a chicken breast on the stove with zoodles cooked in garlic and alfredo.  The zoodles definitely don't taste like pasta but they were still super satisfying. Can we also talking about the crazies that actually think vegetables taste like pasta? I would rather just not eat anything pasta wise than eat veggies that are pretending to be pasta haha.

After dinner I had 2 pieces of Dove dark chocolate and a glass of wine obvi. My meals obviously weren't perfect but I am excited to see how long I can pull this off for.

Thanks for following along gills. I will keep you all updated on how this diet goes! Hopefully I don't want to die from lack of carbs and sugar!!

Have a great weekend,
Emily
