CRUISE RECAP PT. 2

Day Six:

The last and final port was Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos. This island was absolutely beautiful and had the bluest water I have ever seen. The island was so tiny, you could see the entire perimeter from the top of the ship. We originally had an excursion planned to go on a catamaran to go snorkeling but it got cancelled the day of. It actually worked out great because we ended up just going to an all inclusive beach which was super private.

We started off the day by going to the giant Margaritaville which was right by the port. This was a very popular place for families to hangout because they had a public pool for people to swim in. There was also a public beach right by the cruise that was insanely packed. If you are looking to just do a beach day on this island, I recommend buying a private beach package.

The excursion we did was super nice because there was no specific time we had to be at the beach by. When we were done at Margaritaville, we took an open air shuttle to the private beach. There were wild horses running around the island throughout the whole drive and it was so cool to see!

The beach only had about 30 people at it and it was amazing to have some privacy. Our package included free drinks and food so the rum punches were flowing heavily throughout the day. We ended up just renting snorkel equipment from the beach to explore the water ourselves. Although the water was extremely blue and beautiful, there wasn't many fish to see. I saw probably 5 fish all together and we swam out pretty far. I still have never gone snorkeling before so it was still cool regardless!
This was the perfect excursion to end the week. We relaxed for the rest of the day until it was time to go back to the ship.

Day Seven:

We arrived back in Miami at around 6:00 am Saturday morning. We decided to stay in Ft. Lauderdale for the entire day and night and fly back Sunday morning. It was sooo nice to not feel rushed and just relax before heading back to Michigan.

We got off the boat at around 8:15 am and got an uber to our hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. We stayed the night at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and it was extremely nice and boujee. I originally thought I booked us at the Marriott people stayed at on spring break but I'm really glad I accidentally booked it at this one lol. Our room was surprisingly ready so we had the chance to freshen up before we explored. Our room was super nice and had a big balcony that overlooked the harbor.

We got brunch at Shooters Waterfront which was a suggestion from my mom. She said that the real housewives come there all the time so we hadddd to check it out. Although it was 9:30 am, I got sushi and Conner got a french dip sandwich? We were clearly sick of breakfast foods haha.

We spent the rest of the afternoon just relaxing by the pool and beach and it felt nice to not have any plans. We semi got ready and ate dinner at the Drunk Taco.

It was the perfect end to my vacation with my love!!
