WEEKEND IN MY LIFE

Hi Friends,

I had a really fun weekend last weekend so I wanted to share it with all of you! I went to Chicago with Conner for his work and also got our sweet baby Palmer.

Friday:

We left for Chicago right after I got home from work so we arrived downtown at around 9:00 pm Chicago time. Right away we checked into our hotel and then headed to our friend's apartment in Rivernorth.

However...........once we got to our friend's apartment, we decided to go up to their rooftop to have a couple of drinks before we went out and we got stuck in the elevator!!!!

I'm not just talking like a couple of minutes or anything, it was around 45 minutes and we were stuck in there with 13 other people who were super sweaty and drunk from lollapalooza so it was legit a nightmare. 

We finally got the fire department come and set us free after 45 minutes of everyone freaking out and trying not to pass out lol 

Anywhooo after we survived that, we went to Parlor Pizza Bar in Rivernorth for some drinks. We didn't order any food but the pizza there looked superrr bomb.

Saturday:

This was the main day that we were doing "work" activities for Conner. He was taking some of his clients to one of the Wrigley Rooftops for the Cubs game and he was able to take me so I was like umm heck yeah. 

We started off having drinks at Happy Camper which was a super sweet bar in Wrigleyville. I of course was slamming some aperol spritzes to start my day off right. The bar had an awesome outdoor patio with a rooftop and also a really good DJ. We were there at around 11 am but I'm sure at night it's super fun too.

We then went to one of the Wrigley Rooftops which had an awesome view of the baseball field. We stayed there all day and just drank and ate until the game ended. I really think going to one of the rooftops the way to go because all of your food and drinks are included within your ticket price.

The day was an absolute blast and we ended up going over to a friend's apartment to drink some beers and play card games.

 I love day drinks like these because we were back to the hotel by 9:30 pm hahah. 

Sunday:

This is the day we got our sweet angel Palmer!

We were originally supposed to pick him up on Monday but we were way too excited so we decided to leave Chicago at like 7 to go get him.

I'm going to do a full post all about him but we are sooo obsessed! Conner and I seriously do not know what we would do without him already. He has definitely completed our little family.

We just spent the rest of the day bonding with P and relaxing!
