I wanted to get on here and share my favorite books that I have read recently for you guys. My favorite genre of books are psychological thrillers and mystery fiction. I think most of us who are obsessed with this genre kinda got hooked after Gone Girl and Girl on the Train came out. All of these books will keep you on your toes and some of them will be so addicting you'll feel the need to finish it in one night.
1. A Simple Favor by Darcey Bell
I read this book when Conner and I were on our cruise and I literally could not keep it down. This book is about disappearing, cheating, lying, and infidelity. There are so many twists in this book that will keep you on your toes until you're finished. It comes from the perspective of all the main characters which makes it all the more interesting. I know this book is now a movie with Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick but I still haven't seen it to compare the two. I watched the trailer however and I can just tell the book is 100% better. I highly recommend reading this book on a vacation since it is not that big.

2. Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
I think we've all seen this HBO show and became addicted with the women of Monterey, CA. I honestly didn't even know the show was based off of a book until my mom bought the book for me. The book is a completely different setup and also takes place in Australia so that is something to keep in mind if you're thinking they are going to be the same. The book however covers even more details of the lying, abuse, and secrets of the families in this rich town. The book also has some humor in it which makes the dark parts even more intense.

By the time you finish this book, you'll literally be like 😮.
sThis one is about these two girls that went missing on the same night. One of the girls was found in a bunker in the woods but the other one is still missing. The police are heavily involved with the search to find the other missing girl but are having no such luck finding her. There are SO many fucked up twists in this book I was literally shook by the end of it. I really can't even give a good summary for this one without giving something away. I highly recommend reading this one asap it's one of my favorites!

This is another book that has so many insane twists that you never expect. The story is about a couple who seems to have it all with their happy marriage, beautiful house, and baby girl. The baby ends up going missing and that is where all the twists start. This is a pretty short book and an easy read for an airplane ride or vacation. It's by the author Shari Lapena who also has some other great thriller novels.
5. Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll
The beginning of this book leads you to believe it is just a chick novel about a city girl living the dream life in NYC. The more you read along you find out about the main characters dark past and history involving a school shooting. The author really takes you for a ride with your emotions so be ready to laugh and cry.
6. A Stranger In The House by Shari Lapena
This is another super suspenseful novel by Shari Laplena. It is another story about a married couple and the secrets and lies within their marriage and the wife's past. This is another one of the books that has one of those endings that you'll never suspect reading it. This book takes a look at a wive's past and her dark history that she's trying to forget. This book has murder, lying, and deceit. It will deff keep you on your toes throughout the book.
I'm currently really getting back into reading so be on the look out for more book recommendations coming soon! I also really like to read self-help books and romance ones too so there might be some of those thrown in there.
